This September, Bulgaria’s seaside will once again host one of the most anticipated combat sports events of the year. On September 13, 2025, the iconic beach arena in Varna will welcome SENSHI 28, combining the debut of the prestigious Heavyweight Grand Prix with a lineup of spectacular super fights.
For the first time in Bulgaria, fans will witness top athletes collide in the +95 kg division. Eight professional fighters will step into the ring to determine who will reign supreme in the heavyweight category.
Alongside the Grand Prix, three professional super fights will deliver even more adrenaline, featuring some of Bulgaria’s most exciting talents — Dragomir Petrov, Valeri Atanasov, and Konstantin Stoykov — each facing international opponents in high-stakes matchups.
Dragomir Petrov will meet Romania’s Marian Lăpușneanu in a long-awaited rematch at -70 kg under KWU FULL CONTACT rules. Their first clash at SENSHI 20 ended with Lăpușneanu’s knockout victory. Since then, Petrov has become one of Bulgaria’s most decorated fighters, boasting over 30 professional bouts, four national kickboxing titles, and two SENSHI European Championships (-70 kg in 2023 and 2024). “SENSHI built me as a fighter. It shows me what I’m capable of and makes me believe in myself. Honestly, I owe almost everything in my career to SENSHI,” Petrov shared.
Valeri Atanasov, Varna’s MMA star, makes his second SENSHI appearance against Brazilian striker Miguel Porto under KWU OPEN rules. Atanasov, a multiple Bulgarian MMA champion and IMMAF European silver medalist (2016), previously secured victory at SENSHI 19. Porto enters the ring with an impressive pedigree of his own: WMF Brazilian Muay Thai Champion, WMF Pan-American Champion (2019), and Brazilian Fighting Series Winner.
Konstantin Stoykov, the 21-year-old Bulgarian kickboxing prodigy, looks to extend his perfect SENSHI run in his third appearance. An 11-time national champion, Stoykov has already scored two wins in the organization, including a strong performance at SENSHI 25. He now faces Petros Natan de Freitas, a 27-year-old Brazilian making his SENSHI debut. De Freitas arrives with serious credentials as a two-time WGP Challenger GP Champion and four-time WGP Champion.
The combination of the Heavyweight Grand Prix and high-profile super fights guarantees a night full of power, drama, and unforgettable action on the Bulgarian coast.
Fans can be part of the action and support their favorite fighters live at SENSHI 28. Ringside seats are available now through Eventim.bg.
