The SENSHI 33 Grand Prix, which took place on September 5, 2026, in Varna, Bulgaria, became the starting point for a new global broadcasting partnership between SENSHI and DAZN, a leading international sports entertainment platform with a strong presence in the combat sports market.
As part of the new agreement, SENSHI’s live events will be available to fight fans free of charge through DAZN in more than 200 markets around the world. The partnership represents another major stage in SENSHI’s international development, providing the organization with a significantly broader platform for showcasing its fighters, events and tournament format to a global audience.
SENSHI 33 was the first event to be shown through DAZN under the new agreement. The Varna event featured an eight-fighter Grand Prix tournament in the 95 kg weight category. Competitors from different countries, including elite kickboxers and Kyokushin fighters, took part in the one-night elimination competition, with the SENSHI Grand Prix title at stake.
The main tournament was accompanied by two reserve bouts and three Super Fights. Together, they formed an international fight card featuring experienced athletes as well as some of the emerging talents making their mark in professional kickboxing.
The new partnership gives DAZN another international combat sports property, while bringing SENSHI’s established Grand Prix concept and diverse international roster to a much wider audience. The cooperation is scheduled to continue with SENSHI 34 Grand Prix on December 5, which will serve as the final SENSHI event of the 2026 season. The partnership is also expected to cover SENSHI events throughout 2027.
“Working with DAZN represents a major milestone for SENSHI. Our goal from the very beginning has been to build a world-class platform where elite athletes can compete at the highest level and where the next generation of fighters can develop their careers on the international stage. Through DAZN, we can bring our athletes, the Grand Prix format and the SENSHI spirit to fight fans across the world,” said Semmy Schilt, President of KWU SENSHI Europe, the organization behind SENSHI.
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, also emphasized SENSHI’s international appeal and its distinctive competition format. He noted that the promotion brings elite athletes, a recognizable tournament concept and growing momentum within the combat sports community to DAZN’s already extensive global sports portfolio.
SENSHI currently holds five professional fight nights each year. Its events combine Grand Prix tournaments with championship-level contests and Super Fights, bringing together athletes from numerous countries and different backgrounds within the international combat sports scene.
It is also important to highlight SENSHI’s close connection with the international Kyokushin karate community. Kyokushin fighters regularly compete at SENSHI events at both amateur and professional levels. These competitions provide athletes with an opportunity to gain international experience, face high-level opponents and develop their skills while progressing toward professional careers.
Since its establishment in 2019, SENSHI has grown from a new combat sports project into an international promotion. During this period, the organization has staged more than 30 professional fight nights and hundreds of bouts involving athletes representing Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America.
One of the defining characteristics of SENSHI is the active involvement of some of the most recognizable figures in combat sports history. Semmy Schilt, a four-time K-1 World Grand Prix champion, serves as President of KWU SENSHI Europe. The organization’s leadership and ambassadorial team also includes K-1 legends and world champions Ernesto Hoost, Sam Greco, Nicholas Pettas, Albert Kraus and Andy Souwer, among other prominent figures from the sport.
Their involvement goes beyond ceremonial or ambassadorial roles. The experienced champions actively contribute to the development of SENSHI and its fighters, sharing their knowledge through international training camps, seminars and direct work with athletes. Their experience and expertise help provide fighters with additional opportunities to improve their technical and tactical abilities and develop their careers.
SENSHI’s concept combines high-level professional competition, international event production and the traditions and values of martial arts. Through this approach, the organization continues to build a global platform for established champions while creating opportunities for the next generation of international combat sports talent.
The organization’s development has taken place alongside the rapid expansion of DAZN, which has established itself as a major global sports entertainment platform. DAZN is currently available in more than 200 markets and broadcasts more than 140,000 live events every year.
The platform offers extensive coverage of football, boxing and MMA, as well as major international competitions and leagues. Its portfolio includes properties such as the Bundesliga, Serie A, LALIGA, Ligue 1, Formula 1, NBA, MotoGP and many other major sporting events. DAZN also serves as the international home of NFL Game Pass and NHL.TV.
DAZN’s streaming platform has been developed specifically for sports and is built on a scalable cloud-based infrastructure. Its technology includes latency-optimized streaming and adaptive delivery designed to maintain viewing quality across different devices and internet connections.
The platform also incorporates advanced data capabilities, personalized features and artificial intelligence technologies aimed at improving content discovery, interaction and fan engagement. DAZN positions itself not only as a streaming service but as a broader sports ecosystem where fans can watch live and on-demand content, interact with sports and access additional products and features.
Founded in 2016, DAZN has grown into a global company with more than 4,000 employees. The platform is available across a wide range of devices, allowing fans to access live and on-demand sports content wherever they are. DAZN also works with leading pay-TV operators, internet service providers and telecommunications companies around the world to expand the reach of sports content and connect major sporting properties with broader audiences.
With the launch of the SENSHI partnership, the organization enters a new stage of its international development. The successful debut of the agreement at SENSHI 33 in Varna provides the foundation for further global broadcasts, beginning with SENSHI 34 in December and continuing with the promotion’s events in 2027.
