The SENSHI 17 delivered an unforgettable evening of intense combat and exceptional martial arts displays on June 8. The event featured 18 thrilling bouts, where elite fighters showcased their sportsmanship and extraordinary mastery in the arena, leaving the audience in awe.

With 36 competitors from over 19 countries, the SENSHI arena became a battleground for a variety of martial arts disciplines, including Kyokushin, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA. The fighters demonstrated their skills and determination, living up to their reputations and successfully defending their well-earned titles. Martial arts fans were treated to an outstanding showcase of talent and combat prowess.

Three European titles were brought home to Bulgaria in this incredible display of martial arts skill and determination!

 

SENSHI 17 special prizes:

The special award “Knockout of the Night” was won by Mubariz Aghmaliyev, and Montana Aerts grabbed the award for the “Fighting Spirit” for the night from the Netherlands. The “Best Technique” award at SENSHI 17 went to Yu Hirono from Japan.

The SENSHI 17 fighting gala night was graced by an extraordinary lineup of martial arts legends and icons, adding prestige to the event. Among the special guests were the world-renowned masters Shihan Akira Masuda, Shihan Francisco Filho, Shihan Ryu Narushima, and Shihan Glaube Feitosa. Joining them were Shihan Semmy Schilt, Nicholas Pettas, and other prominent names in the combat sports world. K-1 world heavyweight champions Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, and Sam Greco, alongside the first "K-1 Max" champion Albert Kraus, lent their expertise as commentators and referees, ensuring an unforgettable evening of titanic clashes.

Another distinguished guest of SENSHI 17 was Takashi Ito, the WMAF Super Welterweight Kickboxing Champion and CEO of Japan’s leading promotion, R.I.S.E. Known for delivering thrilling entertainment, R.I.S.E. has become one of the most popular kickboxing promotions in Japan, cementing its place as a powerhouse in the sport.

The spectacular SENSHI 17 gala was broadcast live on Bulgaria ON AIR and Max Sport in Bulgaria and reached a global audience via American television FITE, Senshi.com, Boec.bg, Boec.com, Kwunion.com, Sportextra.ro, Tvarenasport.com, and Kyokushinkarate.news.
