The third SENSHI Invitational Training Camp officially opened on January 21 at SENSHI GYM in Varna, launching five days of high-intensity training that will continue until January 25.
This edition of the camp brings together 32 professional fighters representing 13 European nations, including 11 athletes from Bulgaria. Once again, the event underlines the country’s growing importance on the international combat sports stage. Participants are sharing experience and technical knowledge acquired in leading fight schools across Italy, France, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Greece, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Portugal, and Bulgaria.
The training program for lighter weight divisions is led by renowned Dutch kickboxing legends Albert Kraus and Andy Souwer. Across eight demanding sessions, fighters are working on precision, timing, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning. From the opening session, the atmosphere at SENSHI GYM was marked by focus, discipline, and a strong desire for progress.
Addressing the participants, Andy Souwer highlighted the importance of attention to detail and teamwork during training. He encouraged fighters to carefully follow instructions, repeatedly practice new combinations, and actively assist their partners, emphasizing that the camp provides an ideal environment for technical growth and personal development.
A distinctive element of the camp is the presence of fighters who previously faced each other in SENSHI bouts and are now training together. Athletes such as Atanas Bozhilov and his former opponents Adrian Madalin, Rocky Grandjean, and Samo Petje are sharing the mat, while other former matchups — including Dragomir Petrov with Andrej Kedves, Daniele Valente with Petar Stoykov, Giannis Eminov with Diyan Dimitrov, Marius Cimpoeru with Zhulien Rikov, Nikola Cvetkovic with Constantin Rusu, and Ognyan Mirchev with Uros Neskovic — are measuring their progress since their last encounters.
The third SENSHI Invitational Training Camp plays a key role in preparing fighters for upcoming matches scheduled for the first half of 2026. For several participants, it also serves as a stepping stone toward the next international fight gala, SENSHI 30, set to take place on February 28 at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna.
