Last weekend, Utrecht, the Netherlands, turned into the beating heart of the combat sports world as it hosted the BEST4 Seminar — a major international training camp led by K-1 legends and world-renowned SENSHI instructors Semmy Schilt, Ernesto Hoost, Albert Kraus, and Andy Souwer. Each of these iconic champions has left a lasting mark on the global kickboxing scene, earning international fame and solidifying the Netherlands’ reputation as a powerhouse in combat sports.
The seminar took place at Sporthallen De Witte in De Bilt, bringing together over 200 participants from across several countries. Fighters of all experience levels — from beginners to professionals — came from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and England, united by one shared purpose: to grow as martial artists and learn from the very best in the sport.
Over the course of the event, attendees immersed themselves in various techniques, styles, and training philosophies, gaining first-hand insights from the champions themselves. The program featured two intensive 90-minute training sessions, separated by a short break for recovery and discussion.
Following the training, a meet-and-greet session allowed participants to take photos, collect autographs, and personally engage with the instructors. The name SENSHI resonated throughout the event, reflecting the shared spirit of dedication, respect, and continuous improvement that defines the organization’s philosophy.
During an open Q&A session, the instructors shared personal experiences from their legendary careers — how they cope with pre-fight nerves, adapt to different opponents, and the lessons that shaped them as fighters and individuals.
The atmosphere was electric, and every participant left inspired, motivated, and already looking forward to the next edition of the BEST4 Seminar.
